Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. #NollaigArScoil Twitter Project Review
After the unexpected success of the Hallowe’en Twitter Project (#SamhainArScoil), where so many schools Tweeted about what they were doing in their classrooms on the theme of Hallowe’en, we decided to follow this up with a Christmas-themed Twitter Project: #NollaigArScoil

Book Review: Run For The Hills
The Story
The book is set in Glensinna, a place inhabited by red foxes only. They have all heard about the legend of Sionnach the Great White fox which is said to have looked after the land in times of great danger and lived in the Valley of Gleann an tSionnaigh (the valley of the white fox) which is now known as Glensinna. Live Streaming on Twitter
Twitter purchased the live video streaming app Periscope for a sizeable sum in early 2015, before it had even been officially launched. Periscope, another social media application, allows users to tell their news via live streaming of video.
In the past week, Twitter has integrated Periscope into its native app to allow its users to broadcast live video through the app, in an attempt to compete with Facebook Live launched earlier this year. read more…

Con Tutti Music Education Resource for Pupils with ASD
Music Generation Sligo, in collaboration with the Centre for Special Educational Needs Inclusion and Diversity (CSENID) in St. Angela’s College, Sligo, have developed a music resource for teachers working with pupils with ASD.

Seesaw App
Seesaw is an app for the development of student digital portfolios. It allows the teacher to set up “journals” for each of the pupils in the class. The pupil can then upload their work to their journal in the form of photos, videos, drawings, text, PDFs and links. In the case of photos, for example, a student could upload a photo of work they have completed and annotate the photo with text, drawing or audio to explain what the work was about. read more…
