Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. Blog Awards Ireland will bring together the Irish online community collaborating in a single event in October 2013 to celebrate blogging in Ireland. The event celebrates the best in Irish blogging by creating 31 categories which offer plenty of scope for bloggers. Droichead Pilot Project Under A Cloud
I wrote back in April on this website about Droichead, the proposed new pilot project for induction and probation of Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) developed by the Teaching Council. The proposed pilot project was due to take place in in the seven counties which traditionally attracted the highest number of NQTs (Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick, Kildare, Meath and Wexford). Across these counties, the Council proposed to involve approximately 200 primary and 100 post primary schools in the pilot project. read more…
Smarty Cat Games Competition
Smarty Cat Games is a new Gaeilge resource which consists of ten games covering each of the ten themes of Curaclam na Gaeilge (Mé Féin, Sa Bhaile, Ar Scoil, Bia, Teilifís, Siopadóireacht, Caitheamh Aimsire, Éadaí, An Aimsir, Ócáidí Speisialta).
