Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. The resources on the site, which support all areas of the curriculum, are arranged in accordance with the curricular provisions of the Irish primary school….

IPPEA Conference 2014
The Irish Primary PE Association (IPPEA) will hold its annual conference on Saturday March 1st in Carlingford Adventure Centre. The theme of this year’s conference is “Out and About” and a variety of workshops are planned for the day to get participants moving. Oscar Wilde: Stories For Children – Book Review
When Damien asked me to review “Oscar Wilde Stories for Children” I was thrilled. I’ve always loved Oscar Wilde, his stories are full of beautiful images and morals, something I love in all that I read. This book is especially beautiful as the illustrator’s talent shines through and really brings the stories to life. The book has three well known stories included: “The Happy Prince”, “The Nightingale and the Rose”, and “The Selfish Giant”. All have morals built in, perfect for a classroom lesson! read more…

“A Rosette For Maeve?” was written by Anna McQuinn and illustrated by Paul Young. The setting was at a beef farm and at a village show. The storyline was there was a village show on and a girl called Lisa was training a calf to enter a best looking calf competition. Colm’s Lambs – Book Review
Colm’s Lambs, by Anna McQuinn and illustrated by Paul Young, tells the story of a newborn lamb that might not survive. I enjoyed reading this book because it’s funny, but at same time sad. I really liked the main character Colm; he is kind and good at farming and looking after lambs. The dad has a good sense of humour, and he is also kind like Colm. read more…
