Dolch Loop Cards 02
Dolch words are a list of 220 “service words” developed in the 1940s by William Dolch. They consist of a series of sets of words which are considered to be vocabulary which occurs most frequently in children’s reading material. Although some of the words in the lists can be sounded out phonetically, they really should be memorised as “sight words”.

Same & Different Sorting 02
This resource is aimed at pupils in junior classes or pupils with speech and language difficulties. Categorisation/sorting is an important skill for younger/SEN pupils to develop. This resource aims to develop categorisation skills as well as to encourage oral language. This sorting activity focuses on the concept of same/different. There are two images of items of clothing on each sorting card – some images are the same, some are different.
Find the Word 03
This literacy resource focuses on positional language which can pose some difficulties for younger pupils and SEN pupils. This pack includes five worksheets based on vegetables for pupils to practise these essential skills. The worksheets include language like first, last, after, under, above, to the right of, to the left of.
Pelmanism 04
Pelmanism is the name of the memory game which you play by turning up pairs of cards from a pack and trying to pick out matching pairs. It is named after the Pelman Institute which was set up for the study of memory in London in the 1930s.
This oral language memory game focuses on homophones (words that sound the same but are spelled differently). There are three sets of sixteen cards (eight pairs) in this pack, 48 cards in all.
Ordinal Number Cards 01
This resource focuses on ordinal numbers and positional language, which can pose some difficulties for younger pupils and SEN pupils. It consists of eighteen cards, each with six images of various fruit and vegetables. The pupil is asked a question at the top of each card – which is first / last / third etc.
