world_education_gamesThe World Education Games (WEG) will take place from October 13th – 15th. The World Education Games is the expanded format of what was once World Maths Day and now includes World Literacy Day and World Science Day. It is the world’s largest online educational competition with over five million school students aged 4-18 from over 200 countries and territories around the world participating when it was last held in 2013.

Now a biennial event, the Games are returning 13 – 15 October 2015 with some exciting new features – see http://www.3plearning.com/worldeducationgames/ for more information and to pre-register your interest. You will then be kept up to date with all the latest news regarding the games, including a reminder when the new website opens. Once registered there, pupils can practice for the competition by sharpening their maths, science and spelling skills in a variety of online ‘warm up’ activities.

The three-day competition will test pupils in a variety of friendly 60-second online games against the clock in spelling (World Literacy Day – October 13), Maths (World Maths Day – October 14) and Science (World Science Day – October 15). There are five different levels to play and 20 games on each level. Full registrations and warm up for the 2015 Games are now open. Pupils who win their regional lead-up events in their countries are usually invited to become Ambassadors for that country.
