Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. Megan and the Money Tree
Although published in 2011, I only recently came across Megan and the Money Tree in one of my local book stores. (Yes, I still buy real books!) In terms of structure, it is an unusual book, but it works very well. Written by Emma Kennedy, the personal finance correspondent with the Sunday Business Post, its stated aim is to “introduce children to basic financial concepts in an engaging manner, using language and ideas that make sense to younger readers”. read more…

The 8th ICT in Education Conference will take place in LIT (Limerick Institute of Technology) Tipperary on Saturday May 19th. Last week saw the launch of Seas Suas, a new and exciting website of special interest to primary teachers.
