Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. SEED Schools Conference
Ireland’s first ever SEED (School Earth Education) conference on school gardens will be held in Marino Institute of Education from 10.00am to 4.15pm on Saturday 5th October 2013. School gardens are proving to be an important part of teaching an integrated range of subjects in an enjoyable and fulfilling way. The day will include a comprehensive list of interactive workshops including ones on composting, biodiversity and science in the school garden. read more…
Protecting Primary Education
It’s rare on Seomra Ranga that I venture into the world of political comment as I believe that it’s not the purpose of the site and there are many other ways and other forums for people to express their views on how education is run in this country. However, the threat to education provision in this country, through the expected rise in the pupil-teacher ratio in the upcoming budget, has forced me to make some comments on this issue. read more…
