Minister’s Book Rental Scheme Is Penalising Schools – INTO

Book Rental GuidelinesThe Irish National Teachers’ Organisation (INTO) has said that the new Book Rental Scheme, as proposed by Minister for Education and Skills Ruairí Quinn, is penalising schools that have struggled and made sacrifices to set up book rental schemes in the past. The General Secretary of the INTO, Sheila Nunan, said that the Minister’s proposal is completely unacceptable and called it “nothing more than a slap in the face to schools”. read more…

Design A BookMany teachers will be involved with writing books with their pupils for the Write-A-Book Project which is organised through many of the Education Centres around the country. Sometimes, a lot of work can go into the story element of the book with the result that the design element of the book can be neglected.
