Welcome to Seomra Ranga, the Hub for Primary School Resources. For the overseas visitors “Seomra Ranga” means “classroom” in the Irish language.

Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. The resources on the site, which support all areas of the curriculum, are arranged in accordance with the curricular provisions of the Irish primary school….

Dear Zoo App

Dear Zoo AppWe’re doing some work based on the book “Dear Zoo” by Rod Campbell at the moment. We found lots of great resources on the internet based on the book and I’ve also created some more which are available on this website.

However, almost by accident, I found that the book was available as an app on the iTunes App Store. It has all the magic of the book itself, but it also has the interactive aspect where the pupil can touch the cage, basket etc. to reveal the hidden animal. read more…

Sound Touch App

Sound Touch AppSound Touch is a very popular app among our pupils at the moment. Its aim is to develop speech and language in young children and those with speech and language difficulties. It helps with noun identification and categorisation of objects.
