Welcome to Seomra Ranga, the Hub for Primary School Resources. For the overseas visitors “Seomra Ranga” means “classroom” in the Irish language.
Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. Name Sorting Activity 02
This resource is aimed at pupils in junior classes or pupils with reading difficulties. It focuses on the getting the pupil to recognise their own first name in print form. Based on a bubbles theme, pupils have to sort ten names – five being their own and five different names. The base boards are in the PDF file and the editable name tags are in the Word file.

Roald Dahl Day Resources
This September 13th marks the the 100th anniversary of the birth of Roald Dahl and schools around the world will celebrate Roald Dahl Day on this date. Roald Dahl is a much loved author for generations of pupils with books such as “Matilda”, “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”, “Fantastic Mr. Fox”, “The BFG” and “Danny the Champion of the World” listed among children’s favourites. read more…
Post Office Resources
Many teachers, perhaps especially those in junior classes, will at some stage do some work on the Post Office. It’s a great theme to employ in the classroom and gives some great opportunities for some cross-curricular and integrated theme work. Many teachers doing Aistear will use the Post Office as one of their themes for this reason. read more…
