Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. The resources on the site, which support all areas of the curriculum, are arranged in accordance with the curricular provisions of the Irish primary school….


Science Week 2018 Table Quiz

This Table Quiz, especially put together for Science Week 2018,  comprises eight rounds of six questions, a tie-break round, science joke slides and answers to all questions on 149 Powerpoint slides. It is geared towards pupils in the middle/senior end of the school.

Pen Licence

This resource consists of a certificate to present to pupils when they have achieved a high enough standard of handwriting to be allowed to write with pen. It acts as an encouragement to pupils to tidy up their writing to earn their “Pen Licence”.

The government is holding a referendum on the removal of the reference to Blasphemy from the Constitution this Friday, October 26th. This display resource is designed to assist in explaining this referendum to pupils in senior classes.

Book Review: Island of Adventures

“Island of Adventures” is a factual book about things to do in Ireland. I would recommend it to both families and adults. I would give it to children between the ages of seven and ten because it is quite easy to read. I could definitely imagine a tourist buying this before a flight read more…

County Towns of Ireland

This resource consists of posters of the county towns of Ireland. They are arranged according to their provinces, a different colour for each province. This should make a colourful display while at the same time making them easier for pupils to learn.
