Hallowe'en Creatures BookmarksThis is a handy, bookmark-sized, resource for pupils who are doing some literacy work on the theme of Hallowe’en in the classroom. It gives a list of Hallowe’en creatures, which is not meant to be an exhaustive list, and could be used for oral language or written work, especially creative writing.

There are two bookmarks per page. If you find that the bookmarks are too large, set your printer preferences to print two to a page. These could be laminated and kept from year to year.

Guided AccessI was only recently made aware of the Guided Access function within the iOS settings on iPhone/iPod and iPad. This function allows the parent/teacher to lock the device on a single app and allows you to control which functions are available. We have recently begun to make effective use of this function on our iPads in class, where pupils will switch from app to app at a moments notice. read more…

Sort it Out AppThe Sort it Out app is a great app for getting pupils, especially younger pupils or those with special educational needs, to sort out a variety of objects in a fun and interesting way. In each section of the app, the pupil is presented with a range of objects at the bottom of the screen.
