Book Review: Rugby Warrior
Eoin Madden is young boy who aspires to play for Ireland’s rugby squad in the future. While becoming captain of his school rugby team he has to put up with his friends and the dilemma of whether or not to tell the coach to put them in the starting 15.
Eoin Madden goes to Castlerock Secondary School and his dream is to become an Irish rugby player when he is older. This is Eoin’s second year going to the school and in the first year he kicked the winning penalty in the Aviva stadium to win the Father Geoghegan Cup. read more…
Peg Number Bonds Addition 10
This resource is aimed at infant or SEN pupils at the beginning of work on numeracy. It is based on number bonds up to 10 with an indian girl theme. Laminate all of the pages in the resource and cut up into 24 separate cards. Pupils should add the numbers that the girl is holding on the left side of each card and place a peg on the correct answer on the right side of the card.

Digital Art Week 2014
The week after the Easter break (April 28th to May 2nd) sees the arrival of our 4th annual Digital Art Week. This gives primary school children around Ireland the opportunity to share their digital art with other children around the country and complete some fun visual arts activities. Figures of Speech
Some pupils may have difficulty comprehending the meaning behind figures of speech used in language. They will tend to take the meaning literally and not understand the figurative nature of the idiom. There are eight posters in this set which visually display some figures of speech. They should be used to explain the phrases to pupils and to begin a discussion on how they could be used in conversational language.

Book Review: Blood Brother, Swan Sister
This was an interesting book, which had a lot of confusing parts and was a little too magical for a historical book, but the characters were well made and it was good overall.
The people were realistic and the attitudes of the youngsters were very detailed. But I thought there were maybe too many characters, which made it a bit hard to follow. It was also a little improbable that people from different countries would be half brothers who found each other in the middle of a battle, facing each other. read more…
Sentence Builder 10
These sentence builder activities are great for infant pupils as well as pupils with learning difficulties or special educational needs. They help to develop vocabulary, sentence structure and left to right orientation. They feature “The cat is ____” four word sentences that also focus on -ing verbs.
