Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. The resources on the site, which support all areas of the curriculum, are arranged in accordance with the curricular provisions of the Irish primary school….

St. Patrick’s Dolch Word Mats
Dolch words are a list of 220 “service words” developed in the 1940s by William Dolch. They consist of a series of eleven sets of words which are considered to be vocabulary which occurs most frequently in children’s reading material. This resource contains each set of words on a single page with a St. Patrick’s Day theme.

Valentine Postcards
This seasonal resource is aimed at providing seasonally attractive postcard templates for pupils to complete. It consists of 12 individual Valentine-themed writing frames for pupils to complete. There are spaces for pupils to complete the verse and to write an address. The pupils can also decorate the postcard.
Numbers Worksheets Booklet
This resource consists of a 12 page pupil booklet to help consolidate their knowledge and recognition of numbers 0 – 10. There is a separate page for each number. Pupils are asked to find and colour the identified number on each individual worksheet. A full version as Gaeilge is also included.
World War Two Activities
These activities are aimed at pupils in senior classes who are doing a unit of work on World War Two. They are aimed at consolidating vocabulary and key facts associated with the 1939-1945 conflict. There are three games included: an Image Dominoes Game; a Vocabulary Dominoes game; a Vocabulary Matching game.
An t-Earrach
With the beginning of the season of Spring, teachers in junior classes especially will be discussing the theme of Spring with their pupils. This pack of thirty-three display photo posters as Gaeilge will motivate pupils to talk about the signs of Spring that they see all around them and what to look out for over the coming months.
Multiplication Wheels 01
This set of posters/worksheets focuses on consolidation of multiplication facts associated with the numbers x0 – x12. Each of the thirty posters features a large colourful multiplication wheel, with blank spaces on the outside for pupils to fill in the answers. Sheets with sequential and non-sequential division facts are included in the download.
Book Review – Dodos Are Not Extinct
This is a humorous children’s book that has a fun and lighthearted feel, wherein the protagonist, Dodo, wants to let us in on a big secret about ‘extinct’ animals that are here and there among us incognito! The illustrations are amusing and visually pleasing and there is a lot of learning to be gleaned from the book in a very natural way.
