Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Messages from the Presidential Candidates

I recently contacted all seven of the Presidential candidates, explaining a little about Seomra Ranga and the work it does. I informed them that I was planning to do an article which would allow all the presidential candidates a chance to address the teachers of Ireland directly through the website. I asked them to put their case directly to teachers as to what their vision of the future of Ireland is and why teachers should vote for them as President. They were asked to restrict their article to 300 words, so that the overall article would not be too long. Candidates were given a week to respond. Charlotte’s Web Questions

This resource provides a chapter by chapter list of questions for the E.B. White novel, “Charlotte’s Web”. These could be done orally, they could be used as comprehension questions or they could be used as a quiz at the end of reading the novel. A wordsearch based on the novel is also included.

The Beautiful House

The Beautiful House is based around the theme of Egypt. It can be used to integrate history with drama, with the children taking the parts of “embalmers in training” while the teacher is the “lecturer” and teaches them the entire mummification process.

Interview on Ros FM

RosFM is a new community radio station dedicated to providing a professional radio broadcast service to Roscommon Town and the surrounding environs. The station is on-air every weekday from 2pm to 9pm, broadcasting a variety of talk and music-based programmes. The station hosts a technology programme every Friday from 5.30pm to 6pm.
