Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. The resources on the site, which support all areas of the curriculum, are arranged in accordance with the curricular provisions of the Irish primary school….

Christmas Talk About
This set of seasonal oral language Task Cards could be done with pupils in many different class groups. The cards are intended to be used as a fun game/task to develop vocabulary and oral language. There are 50 Christmas-themed topic cards in this pack, four per A4 page.

Christmas Symmetry 02
This seasonal resource consists of 13 different pages where pupils have to complete a selection of Christmas-themed symmetrical images. The pupil is given half of the image on each page and they have to draw a mirror image on the other half of the page, colouring the image when it is completed. A reference image is also included to assist the pupil.

Nativity Don’t Mention It
This seasonal oral language activity is aimed at pupils probably in the middle/senior classes. A pupil randomly selects one of the 20 Nativity-themed cards from the pack. They have to describe the word at the top of the card. However, they must not mention any of the three words on the bottom of the card.

Christmas Number Puzzles
This resource is aimed at pupils in junior/middle classes or AEN pupils who are working on early number. It is based on the consolidation of numbers in the range 0-25. The resource features four sets of ten puzzles with a Christmas train theme. (Set 1: 0-9; Set 2: 1-10; Set 3: 6-15; Set 4: 16-25)

This new seasonal resource consists of 5 worksheets for pupils to practise their early number skills using seasonal Christmas images.The pupil has to count the number of each of six different Christmas-themed images in the large box at the top of each worksheet and fill the correct number into the appropriate box at the bottom of the page.

Christmas Table Quiz 01
This fun seasonal Table Quiz comprises eight rounds of six questions, a Tie-Break Round, Christmas Jokes between rounds, and answers to all questions on 174 Powerpoint slides. It is geared towards pupils in the middle/senior end of the school. All questions are based on the theme of Christmas.

An Nollaig – Rianaigh agus Dathaigh
This seasonal resource contains a 17-page booklet as Gaeilge aimed at the development of fine motor skills in younger pupils. Pupils have to trace the Christmas-themed images and then colour them. It gives pupils lots of opportunities to practise fine motor and colouring skills.

Focusing on the numbers 0-10, this seasonal numeracy resource can be used to help younger pupils and/or AEN pupils to consolidate their knowledge and understanding of basic number.
