Welcome to Seomra Ranga, the Hub for Primary School Resources. For the overseas visitors “Seomra Ranga” means “classroom” in the Irish language.

Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Inspectorate to Set up “Rate My School” Website for Parents?

Parent View

The school’s Inspectorate is to set up a website to allow parents to effectively rate their children’s school and the results will be online for all to see. Well, not really! However, their counterparts in England, Ofsted, have done exactly this. I just read this morning on Ian Addison’s Blog how Ofsted have already set up Parent View, where they are seeking parents’ views on their children’s school. How do you think such a site would be viewed here in Ireland? read more…

New Christmas Website

Nollaig Shona

A sneak preview of the site!

I’m in the final stages of the development of the new Christmas website whcih will be ready soon. It’s called Nollaig Shona and will be where all of the Christmas classroom resources will be located. This is simply a plea to everyone to start a search through your own PC/Laptop to find any Christmas-themed resources that you may have created over the years – worksheets, posters, Powerpoints. I’m always looking for new material and would be delighted if teachers would share their Christmas resources on Nollaig Shona. If you have material that you are willing to share with others, please email it to me at info@nollaigshona.ie so that I can get it up on the new site before launch.
