Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. Aibítir
Aibítir is a new Irish alphabet book by Belfast-based printmaker René Mullin. It is a hard-backed book consisting of eighteen beautifully illustrated letters and words in a fresh celebration of Ireland’s unique alphabet.
Each letter is displayed on the left hand page and the illustration is on the right hand page. The prints are all full colour with a different background colour on each page. read more…

The Get Ireland Active website was initially developed to promote the National Physical Activity Guidelines. The site has been further developed to become a one-stop shop for physical activity information. This seasonal resource is geared towards pupils in junior classes and SEN pupils to assist with visual discrimination and oral language skills. It is based on a Valentine’s Day theme and pupils are asked to work out which picture is different in each row and say in what way it is different. The page could be laminated to be re-used again and again.

Help Tokens
Many of our pupils with special needs have difficulty with their academic work and therefore may struggle to ask for help, especially if they are in the mainstream classroom. Therefore they will need a structure to easily allow them to ask for help. These Help Tokens are aimed at assisting the pupil to visually let the teacher/SNA know that they need some help.
Wait Tokens
Many of our pupils with special needs have difficulty taking turns or waiting – they can tend to favour immediate gratification. Therefore they will need to experience having to wait for something, even if this is for less than a minute. These Wait Tokens are aimed at helping the pupil to visually see that they have to wait a moment.
Break Tokens
Many of our pupils with special needs have difficulty concentrating for long periods of time and will require regular breaks during work time. However, some pupils will use the excuse of needing a break as a work avoidance tactic. These Break Tokens are aimed at helping the pupil to regulate their need for breaks.
