Number Puzzle 06
This resource is aimed at pupils in middle classes or SEN pupils at the beginning of work on skip counting. It is based on consolidation of even numbers 22-40 in a fun way. The resource features images on a school bus theme.
Laminate all of the pages in the resource and cut each one up into ten separate strips. Laminate another piece of A4 card. Adhere a long strip of velcro to the laminated card at the top and the bottom. Adhere a square of velcro to the top and bottom of each of the ten strips.

This resource is aimed at pupils in junior classes or pupils with speech and language difficulties. Its aim is to encourage oral language, especially sentence structure. The focus can also be on the pronouns he, she and they. The teacher can start with the question at the top of each card: “Is It Hot Or Cold?” This could be followed up with questions like “How Do You Know?” and “When Would You Eat It?” Questioning will encourage inference and deduction from the context.
