Welcome to Seomra Ranga, the Hub for Primary School Resources. For the overseas visitors “Seomra Ranga” means “classroom” in the Irish language.

Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. The resources on the site, which support all areas of the curriculum, are arranged in accordance with the curricular provisions of the Irish primary school….

Peg Addition 04

peg_addition_04This resource is aimed at pupils in middle classes or SEN pupils at the beginning of work on addition of tens and units. It is based on addition without regrouping – small tens and units are added to small/large tens and units up to 99. Laminate all of the pages in the resource and cut up into thirty-six separate cards. Pupils should work out the sum on the left side of each card and place a clothes peg on the correct answer on the right of the card. The tens are coloured black and the units red to assist with the addition.

W. B. Yeats2015 marks the 150th anniversary since the birth of the poet W.B. Yeats. A year-long series of celebrations are planned to mark the event with exhibitions, poetry readings, performances and recordings. After the success of the inaugural event last year, Mathletes is hoping to get more schools involved in the challenge this year.
