Animal Homes QR Codes
We’re doing some work on animal homes at the moment as part of a theme on Houses and Homes. We did lots of work on identifying the names of a variety of animals and the names of the special homes that they live in.
As part of a follow-up to those lessons, I created these QR codes using the

Pupils with special educational needs may also need some extra practice with this activity. This seasonal resource requires pupils to cut out the autumn-themed images and stick them into a copy or on a sheet. There are five shapes to be cut out.

Abacus Matching 02
This resource is aimed at pupils in junior/middle classes or SEN pupils. It assumes an understanding of the representation of Hundreds, Tens and Units on an abacus. Its aim is to assess whether pupils can match the number with the associated abacus.

Mouth Exercises
This resource consists of a schedule for doing mouth exercises with a class or a group of children. Just like we exercise the body, it is also important to exercise the mouth and mouth muscles in order to help our speech and sounds.
Laminate all of the pages of the resource. The page with the blank white boxes is the base for the schedule. Choose five of the seven exercises to be placed onto the base board using Velcro in any order
History Timelines
The purpose of this resource is to visually help pupils understand change and progression over time. There are four headers in this resource: First, Next, Then and Now. There are also bars to connect the four headers.
Book Review: The Moon Spun Round
“The Moon Spun Round – W. B. Yeats For Children” is a new illustrated book from the O’Brien Press. It features poems, folk tales, childhood writing and some information on W. B. Yeats and his family.
Having been born and raised in the “Yeats County” of Sligo and having grown up learning and performing the poems and plays of W.B. Yeats, I looked forward to reading and reviewing this book.
