Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. The resources on the site, which support all areas of the curriculum, are arranged in accordance with the curricular provisions of the Irish primary school….

Under / Over Sorting 02

under_over_02This resource is aimed at pupils in junior classes or pupils with speech and language difficulties. It focuses on the concept of the difference between under and over. This resource also aims to encourage the development of oral language skills.

All three pages should firstly be laminated. The small images on page 3 should be cut out. Velcro should be attached to the shapes on pages 2 and at the back of all cut out images

Number Puzzle 12

number_puzzle_12This resource is aimed at pupils in middle classes or SEN pupils who are working on numbers. It is based on the consolidation of numbers in the range 25-34. The resource features images of children sleeping.

Laminate all of the pages in the resource and cut each one up into ten separate strips. Laminate another piece of A4 card. Adhere a long strip of velcro to the laminated card at the top and the bottom. Adhere a square of velcro to the top and bottom

Laminate all of the pages in the resource. Cut out the five sentence strips and the corresponding words, which are colour co-ordinated to assist with matching. Place velcro in each of the boxes on the sentence strips

Lawnmower Number Strips 02

Cloze Sentences 01

cloze_sentences_01This literacy resource is aimed at pupils in middle classes or SEN pupils. It is made up of cloze sentences with one word missing at the end. The missing words are all magic-e words. The pack contains a base board, the missing words and twelve sentences. The pupil has to decide which of the twelve words best finishes the sentence.
