Welcome to Seomra Ranga, the Hub for Primary School Resources. For the overseas visitors “Seomra Ranga” means “classroom” in the Irish language.

Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. The resources on the site, which support all areas of the curriculum, are arranged in accordance with the curricular provisions of the Irish primary school….

Alphabetical Order Ladder 04

There are five different sets of five words to place in order, based only on the first letter of the word. There is a reference image beside each word.

Statutory Vetting Has Commenced

GardaíThe Minister for Justice and Equality, Frances Fitzgerald, has announced that the National Vetting Bureau (Children and Vulnerable Persons) Acts 2012 to 2016 is being commenced from 29 April 2016. The Acts provide a statutory basis for the vetting of persons carrying out relevant work with children or vulnerable persons. The Act also creates offences and penalties for persons who fail to comply with its provisions. read more…

Book Review: Arrivals

arrivals“Arrivals” by Brian Gallagher is a book about a girl called Ciara and her granddad who has just died. She goes to visit his home in Ontario, Canada. She is excited because he left her a letter. In the letter she finds a riddle. Together with her Dad, she solves the riddle and it leads them to a box. New Dublinia Interactive Resources Site
