Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. The resources on the site, which support all areas of the curriculum, are arranged in accordance with the curricular provisions of the Irish primary school….

Hallowe’en Twitter Project

samhain_ar_scoilI’ve been so preoccupied with my own work at school, that I’d quite forgotten about organising the fifth Signs of Autumn Twitter Project this term. Given that Autumn is already well on the road and winter is gradually approaching, I thought that we might try something a little different for the final week before the mid-term break.

Cloze Sentences 02

cloze_sentences_02This literacy resource is aimed at pupils in middle classes or SEN pupils. It is made up of cloze sentences with one word missing in the middle. The missing words are all verbs. The pack contains a base board, the missing words and twelve sentence strips. The pupil has to decide which of the twelve words best completes the sentence.

cloze_sentences_01bLaminate all of the pages in the resource. Cut out the words on page two and adhere them to the spaces on the base board on page one using Velcro.
