Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. The resources on the site, which support all areas of the curriculum, are arranged in accordance with the curricular provisions of the Irish primary school….

BGE Student Theatre Awards
Now in it’s 4th year, the Bord Gáis Energy Student Theatre Awards gives students, teachers and schools a chance to be recognised and rewarded for their participation in the dramatic arts. New ICT Infrastructure Grant To Be Paid
The Minister for Education and Skills, Richard Bruton, has announced a new grant for the purchase of ICT infrastructure. Today’s announcement of a €30m investment is the first part of the implementation of the government’s €210m Digital Strategy for Schools 2015-2020, first launched by the previous Minister, Jan O’ Sullivan in November 2015. read more…
Book Review: Your Precious Life
Having previously heard Shane Martin speak at an event, and having been really impressed with his presentation style as well as the message he was delivering, I was really interested when I found out that he was publishing a new book.
Having started off his professional life as a secondary school teacher, Shane subsequently trained as a psychologist. Shane is well acquainted with the field of education and travels the country delivering talks in schools on a variety of topics. read more…

#NollaigArScoil Twitter Project Review
After the unexpected success of the Hallowe’en Twitter Project (#SamhainArScoil), where so many schools Tweeted about what they were doing in their classrooms on the theme of Hallowe’en, we decided to follow this up with a Christmas-themed Twitter Project: #NollaigArScoil

Book Review: Run For The Hills
The Story
The book is set in Glensinna, a place inhabited by red foxes only. They have all heard about the legend of Sionnach the Great White fox which is said to have looked after the land in times of great danger and lived in the Valley of Gleann an tSionnaigh (the valley of the white fox) which is now known as Glensinna. No one has ever seen the white fox and his history has turned into legend. read more…
