Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. Beannachtaí
This photographic resource consists of 26 fully illustrated old Irish Blessings (Beannachtaí). The origins of Irish Blessings are unknown, but it’s likely that they were handed down through the generations in the oral tradition. They were often closely associated with the Christian/Catholic tradition in Ireland, so very often there is a reference to this faith tradition or to God in the blessing.
