Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. The resources on the site, which support all areas of the curriculum, are arranged in accordance with the curricular provisions of the Irish primary school….

Peg Christmas Present Numbers
This seasonal peg-based Christmas numeracy resource is aimed at pupils in junior classes and/or AEN pupils at the beginning of work on numeracy. It is based on the pupil’s knowledge of number/word association of numbers 0 – 20.
Christmas Dolch Word Mats
Dolch words are a list of 220 “service words” developed in the 1940s by William Dolch. They consist of a series of eleven sets of words which are considered to be vocabulary which occurs most frequently in children’s reading material. This resource contains each of the eleven sets of Dolch words on a single A4 page with a Christmas theme.

Book Review – The Stolen Child

Matching Christmas Baubles
This seasonal resource is aimed at infant/junior pupils and/or AEN pupils. It is based on learning and visual discrimination of colours with a Christmas Baubles theme. The resource asks pupils to place a clothes peg on the Christmas bauble with the same colour as the large image, from the three options given. There are 13 matching cards in the resource.

The resource asks pupils to place a clothes peg on the Christmas Tree with the same colour as the large image, from the three options given. There are 21 matching cards in the resource.
Christmas Bunting 01 (Gaeilge)
This seasonal resource consists of a set of triangular-shaped bunting with a Christmas theme. There are 15 pages in this resource. The bunting spells out “Nollaig Shona”. The bunting has a seasonal red and green background with each letter printed on a single A4 page.
