This Free sample set of worksheets is aimed at pupils in middle and senior classes who are doing a unit of work on verbs. There are three different worksheets in the pack with twelve verbs to be sorted on each worksheet.
The pupil is presented with twelve different verbs on the bottom of each worksheet. They have to decide which of these verbs best suits each of the blank boxes to complete the phrase. It’s important to explain to pupils that a verb may possibly suit more than one box – because of this, it is suggested that the worksheet does not necessarily need to be completed in order.
As the pupil is completing the worksheet, they should cross out each verb that they have used at the bottom of the page, so that they know which verbs they have not used.
