Story: This book tells you all about important things that happened years ago in Ireland. It starts with the Ice Age all the way up to Riverdance! Every chapter isn’t long, about 1-2 pages and each chapter is about something new.

I liked that because it didn’t get boring. I liked the cartoon guys because they explained the big words that I didn’t know. My daddy loves History so we read it together, a bit each night, and he liked it too.

Likes / Dislikes
I didn’t like that on some pages there was lots of small writing, but the pictures were brilliant, especially the bit about the ‘cesspit’.

Favourite Part
My favourite part was about the camogie and hurling because I love camogie. People used to speak Irish when they played camogie and football and when they talked about the games afterwards.

What Age Would Like This?
This book I think is good for kids 9-15 years old.

Score out of Ten
I give it 8 /10
