Now in its 30th year, the MS Readathon has been encouraging generations of primary school pupils to get reading for a month to raise vitally needed funds for MS Ireland. This year, the Readathon runs from October 13th to November 13th.

The MS Readathon began in 1988 when the well-loved children’s author Roald Dahl launched the first ever campaign. As well as fantastic reading rewards, the 30th MS Readathon promises some Roald Dahl treats as well as prizes of books from Ireland’s great children’s authors.

Speaking at the launch of the MS Readathon Felicity Dahl, wife of Roald Dahl said:

“Here’s to all the child heroes we know; who by becoming involved in the MS Readathon in this very special year, will be making such a different to the lives of those equally heroic people living with MS in communities across Ireland.”

Schools and teachers are encouraged to take part in this year’s MS Readathon by registering on the website: https://www.msreadathon.ie/ You can also register by phone on  (01) 678 1600.
