Alive-O Songs Rang I

Powerpoint presentation of the words of all of the songs for the Alive-O programme for First Class. This would be great to have on an IWB so that pupils can follow the words as they sing the songs.

Hi Ciara,

This is a fantastic resource for First Class Alive O Songs. By any chance do you have access to Junior Infants and a similar resources for the Alive O Songs?

Regards,

Gráinne

Hi Gráinne, this resource was donated to the site. If you feel like creating a Powerpoint of Alive-O songs for any other class, you’re welcome to upload it to the site.

Printed words wouldn’t be much use for Junior Infants as they would be unable to read them. The best approach is to sing the song being covered that week every morning after the Morning prayer, and, if you incorporate actions while singing, the children pick them up quickly. I usually sing each song covered for a number of weeks, so that, by the end of September, you have three or four songs done which the children know very well. Then just start a new batch, with the Autumn songs, etc. Later on in the year, some of the songs are quite rubbish and unappealing (eg chocolate song!) and I don’t bother with those, but revise old songs instead. (The Dioscesan Inspector has never had a problem with that, by the way.)
