
Summer Vocabulary Posters
With Summer now on the horizon, teachers in junior classes especially will be discussing the theme of Summer or At the Beach with their pupils. This pack of summer display posters, containing 30 A4 pages, will motivate pupils to talk about the things they do at the beach during the summer.

Summer Number Puzzles 1-10
This resource is aimed at pupils in junior classes or AEN pupils who need extra practice in the consolidation of early number. It is based on the numbers 1-10. There are 10 puzzles in the pack. The resource features typically summer/beach images in the background.

Summer Bunting 01
This seasonal resource consists of a set of chevron-shaped bunting with a Summer theme. The bunting spells out “SUMMER” or “AN SAMHRADH”. The bunting has a seasonal beach photograph background with each letter printed on an A4 page.

Summer Vocabulary Yes/No Activity 01
This resource is aimed at junior pupils or AEN pupils. It is based on the learning and consolidation of summer vocabulary. There are forty-eight cards in this pack. Images of items associated with a trip to the beach are included. The cards pose a simple question: “Is this a …?” to which the answer is simply “Yes” or “No”. Half of the questions require a “yes” answer and half require a “no” answer.

Mata Íomhánna Cois Farraige
With the theme of Summer well under way in many classrooms throughout the country, these seasonal image mats as Gaeilge might be a welcome addition to talk, discussion and writing on the theme of Summer and At the Beach, especially in junior classes. This resource also includes “Éist agus Dathaigh” and “Éist agus Scríobh” activities based on the image mat.

This peg-based resource is aimed at infant/junior pupils or SEN pupils. It is based on learning and visual discrimination of colours with a Hives and Bees theme. Using clothes pegs, the resource asks pupils to match the colour of the large hive at the top of the card with the small bee at the bottom of the card with the same colour.

Riddles have many benefits for pupils. They aid in the development of critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills and language comprehension skills. Vase of Flowers
This Visual Arts lesson could be done at any time of the year. However, it is probably most suitable to be done around the time of Mothers’ Day or during the summer term. It is fairly easy to put this piece of art together, with just sugar paper, tissue paper and glue needed to complete it. The completed vases look great when displayed together on the classroom wall.
