Buzzing With Books Conference
Buzzing with Books, a conference to celebrate children’s engagement with literature, will take place on May 22nd and 23rd in Mary Immaculate College, Limerick. The conference promises to be of particular benefit and interest for primary school teachers, as a range of educational workshops will focus on the newest methods of teaching literacy in the classroom. Easter Peg Numbers 01
This resource is aimed at infant or SEN pupils at the beginning of work on numeracy. It is based on the numbers 0-10 with an Easter Egg theme. Laminate all of the pages in the resource and cut up into 12 separate cards. Pupils should count the number of Easter Eggs on the left side of each card and place a peg on the correct answer on the right side of the card.

Kidblog in the Classroom
Check out this article I wrote for the April 2014 edition of InTouch, the INTO magazine for primary school teachers, entitled “Get Pupils Blogging With Kidblog”. It charts the progress of a group of 6th class pupils as they blogged their way through their final year in primary school using the Kidblog platform. Picture Number Match 04
This activity, with a hat theme, is aimed at infant or SEN pupils at the beginning of work on numeracy. It is based on the numbers 1-5. Laminate pages 2-4 in the resource. Place Velcro in the blank boxes on pages 2 and 3. Cut out the boxes on page 4 and attach Velcro to the rear of the boxes. Pupils then have to match the numbers to the pictures on page 2 and match the pictures to the numbers on page 3.
