The most recent book that I read was ‘The Vanished Girl’ written by author Natasha Mac A’ Bháird. Clare, the main character in the book, is brave, kind and has a positive personality. Clare is a pupil at Sycamore Hill Secondary School, which is an all girls boarding school in Co. Donegal. Clare is a first year boarder. The book is set in the 60’s. read more…

This Table Quiz, especially put together for Science Week 2025 (November 9-16), comprises eight rounds of six questions, a Tie-Break Round, Fun Science Facts between rounds and answers to all questions on 174 Powerpoint slides. It is geared towards pupils in the middle/senior end of the school.

First Line Impros 01
This set of cards, aimed at pupils in middle and senior classes, can be used for developing improvisation for a drama lesson. The line given on the card should be the opening line in the improvisation. The line should suggest to the pupils the scenario for the improvisation. The rest of the class acts as the audience. There are 50 cards in the pack, four per A4 page.

Whiteboard Homonyms is a language game in PPTX format to play in the classroom. It is aimed at pupils in middle and senior classes. On each slide, pupils are given a sentence which includes two homonyms. Pupils have to use the context of the sentence to work out which spelling completes the sentence. There are 50 different sentence slides in the presentation.
