Welcome to Seomra Ranga, the Hub for Primary School Resources. For the overseas visitors “Seomra Ranga” means “classroom” in the Irish language.

Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. The resources on the site, which support all areas of the curriculum, are arranged in accordance with the curricular provisions of the Irish primary school….


Penguin Counting Fish

Focusing on the numbers 0-10, this winter-themed numeracy resource can be used to help younger pupils and/or SEN pupils to consolidate their knowledge and understanding of basic number. Pupils have to count the number of fish that each penguin is holding and attach the correct number in the blank box.

Saint Brigid Word Mat

This resource could be used as an aid to pupils in middle and senior classes. The word mat contains vocabulary associated with the different stories surrounding the life of St. Brigid, celebrated on February 1st. It would be especially useful for pupils when completing some written work or creative writing about St. Brigid.

Dot-to-Dot Number Tracing Book

This resource contains two 12-page booklets focusing on the consolidation of number recognition in the range 0-10, so it would be suitable for junior pupils and/or pupils with additional needs. One booklet gives pupils numbers 1-10 to trace to create the number. The second booklet just has the dots for pupils to trace.
