Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. The Butterfly Heart Competition
To coincide with the publication on this website of the Study Guide for “The Butterfly Heart” by Paula Leyden, which has been nominated for the CBI Children’s Book of the Year 2012, the author and her publisher, Walker Books, have given us five signed copies of the book to give away on the site. Using a 100 Square to Add and Subtract
Getting pupils to find their way around a 100 Square is a great skill to teach. If they can master this skill, it will help with the development of mental maths skills. These posters show pupils how to use the 100 Square to add (by adding tens first and then units) and subtract (take away the tens forst and then the units).
