Welcome to Seomra Ranga, the Hub for Primary School Resources. For the overseas visitors “Seomra Ranga” means “classroom” in the Irish language.

Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. The resources on the site, which support all areas of the curriculum, are arranged in accordance with the curricular provisions of the Irish primary school….


IPPEA Conference 2013

ippea_confThe Irish Primary PE Association (IPPEA) will hold its annual conference on Saturday March 2nd in St. Patrick’s College, Drumcondra, Dublin 9. The theme of this year’s conference is “Let’s Get Moving” and a variety of workshops are planned for the day to get participants moving. There will be workshops on creative dance, yoga, athletics, breaktime fun fitness, urban trails, active school flag and lots more.  read more…

Last Monday saw the launch of a new book “Enhancing the Learning and Teaching of Irish With ICTs” (Ag Cur Barr Feabhais Ar Fhoghlaim Agus Ar Theagasc Na Gaeilge Le TFC). The book was launched by Seán O Foghlú, Secretary General, Department of Education  and Skills (DES) in Dublin West Education Centre (DWEC).
