Peg Easter Odd One OutThis resource is geared towards pupils in junior classes and SEN pupils to assist with visual discrimination and oral language skills. It has an Easter theme and features Easter Eggs. Laminate both pages in the resource and cut up into 10 separate cards. Pupils should analyse the Easter Eggs on each card, decide which is the odd one out and place a peg on the Easter Egg that is different.

Buzzing With Books Conference

Buzzing With BooksBuzzing with Books, a conference to celebrate children’s engagement with literature, will take place on May 22nd and 23rd in Mary Immaculate College, Limerick. The conference promises to be of particular benefit and interest for primary school teachers, as a range of educational workshops will focus on the newest methods of teaching literacy in the classroom. Laminate all of the pages in the resource and cut up into 12 separate cards. Pupils should count the number of Easter Eggs on the left side of each card and place a peg on the correct answer on the right side of the card.

Kidblog in the Classroom

Kidblog in the ClassroomCheck out this article I wrote for the April 2014 edition of InTouch, the INTO magazine for primary school teachers, entitled “Get Pupils Blogging With Kidblog”. It charts the progress of a group of 6th class pupils as they blogged their way through their final year in primary school using the Kidblog platform. Foot MatThis resource is for special needs pupils who may have difficulty sitting for a period of time. The sheet should be laminated and placed or stuck to the floor underneath the pupil’s chair showing them where their feet should be while sitting on a chair.
