Welcome to Seomra Ranga, the Hub for Primary School Resources. For the overseas visitors “Seomra Ranga” means “classroom” in the Irish language.
Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. The resources on the site, which support all areas of the curriculum, are arranged in accordance with the curricular provisions of the Irish primary school….

Post Office Resources
Many teachers, perhaps especially those in junior classes, will at some stage do some work on the Post Office. It’s a great theme to employ in the classroom and gives some great opportunities for some cross-curricular and integrated theme work. Hospital Video Resource
Award-winning animation studio Cartoon Saloon has teamed up with Temple Street Children’s University Hospital to create a short video to help prepare children who are going into hospital for an operation.

Word Analysis 01
This resource deals with looking at and analysing language. Pupils should have a prior knowledge of consonants, vowels and syllables. The resource requires pupils to read the words and then count the letters, consonants, vowels and syllables in the word, recording their answers in the table.
