Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. The resources on the site, which support all areas of the curriculum, are arranged in accordance with the curricular provisions of the Irish primary school….

Advent Table Quiz

This seasonal Table Quiz comprises eight rounds of six questions, a Tie-Break Round and answers to all questions on 174 Powerpoint slides. It is geared towards pupils in the middle/senior end of the school. All questions are based on the theme of Advent and the religious aspect of Christmas.
Christmas Trace and Colour Booklet
This seasonal resource contains a 17-page booklet aimed at the development of fine motor skills in younger pupils. Pupils have to trace the Christmas-themed images and then colour them. It gives pupils lots of opportunities to practise fine motor and colouring skills.

With the theme of Christmas well under way in many classrooms throughout the country, this seasonal image mat on “An Chéad Nollag” as Gaeilge might be a welcome addition to talk, discussion and writing on the theme of the Nativity as Gaeilge.
Bia na Nollag Ceisteanna
This seasonal display resource consists of a large range of 72 posters in a speech bubble format, containing sample questions and answers on the theme of Bia na Nollag. The aim is to get pupils to engage in conversation about Bia na Nollag as Gaeilge by giving them prompts and a structure to the conversation.

Colouring Christmas Baubles
This seasonal visual arts resource consists of a set of black/white Christmas Baubles for pupils to colour. There are 15 different colouring pages, all compiled into a booklet. Both an English and Gaeilge version of the book are included in this resource.
Traidisiúin na Nollag Grianghrafanna
With the season of Christmas closing in, teachers will be discussing the theme of Christmas traditions with their pupils. This pack of forty-five display photo posters as Gaeilge will motivate pupils to talk about and discuss the traditions associated with this time of the year. The resource also aims to help pupils develop some new Gaeilge vocabulary.
