Making Lists is an informal yet fun type of writing activity for pupils to engage in. It makes less of a demand on pupils than other writing genres as it just requires pupils to create bulleted lists of items. This Free resource consists of 10 different templates with given topics for pupils to create their own lists.

This activity could be used as an Early Finisher activity or it could be used as a focused writing activity with a follow-up of oral talk and discussion on what the pupil has written. This would also be a suitable activity to do with an individual pupil in one-to-one teaching. It could also be used for a Writing Station in Station Teaching.

The templates all feature colourful clipboards which should prove attractive to pupils. The List templates are created one per A4 page, but you can also make them smaller by adjusting your printer preferences to print two templates per page.
