While teachers will always allow pupils to go to the toilet when necessary, we all know that some pupils will use the excuse of a trip to the toilet as a work avoidance tactic. These Toilet Tokens are to regulate pupils’ trips to the toilet.
The teacher can give the pupil an “allowance” of tokens to be used during the day or for a period during the day, explaining to the pupil that, apart from break times, this is how many trips to the toilet are allowed. The idea is that the pupil will become aware of the toilet habit and that, over time, the tokens can be phased out and eventually be eliminated.
There are nine small tokens on an A4 page in this resource.
