It’s time for another book competition! Thanks to the religious bookseller Veritas, we have five copies of their new publication “Prayer Assemblies for Primary Schools” to give away. Written by Maurice Harmon and Elaine Mahon, the book contains forty ready-to-use prayer assemblies based on themes from the academic and liturgical year. It can be used by principals, teachers, school chaplains or parish workers who visit schools or classrooms. Combining ease of use with creative ideas for prayer, this book also comes with a CD of music to match each of the assemblies. There are prayer assemblies for special/feast days in each of the school terms as well as assemblies for beginning/end of school year and lots of others. It is well laid out and would be a great resource for primary schools.

To be in with a chance to win one of these books for yourself or your school, simply fill in the form below with details and answers to questions. All of the questions relate to assemblies contained in the book. If you’re unsure of any of the answers, a quick Google search will assist you. All entries for the competition must be in by 5pm this Thursday September 27th, which incidentally is the feast of St. Vincent de Paul. Only one entry per teacher is permitted. Winners will be announced on Twitter after this time. Please make sure that you give a contact email address that you can be contacted on, on Thursday/Friday. Again, many thanks to Veritas for sponsoring the books for this competition. Good luck to all. (September 21st is incorrect answer for Q3. I’m looking for World Day of Peace not International Day of Peace)
