Novels With Issues

by admin on 29/01/2013

novels_with_issuesThanks to South Dublin County Council Libraries (SDCC) for providing me with this resource. It consists of a list of novels and books to help children cope with life’s challenges. A lot of research has obviously gone into the selection of these novels and it is a great list for teachers and schools who have to deal with an “issue” with which a pupil may be confronted. It could also be used to recommend a particular book to parents of such pupils. Issues covered include bullying, being different, racism, friendship, refugees, new baby, sibling rivalry, adoption/fostering, death, divorce, disability and lots more. [click to continue…]
