Teachers all know how important it is to develop the oral and written language of pupils. This resource is a header to place in a prominent position in the classroom, under which can be recorded new or interesting words which are discovered during the day. Call My Bluff

“Call my Bluff” is a Powerpoint game aimed at 4th – 6th class for practising dictionary skills. It is ideal for use with an interactive whiteboard. On each slide, pupils are presented with a difficult word that they probably have not come across before. However, in order for it to be most effective, it is helpful to allocate pupils a role to play in the group discussion, otherwise the usual confident pupils may take over, and the pupils you want to encourage to take a more active part may stay in the background.
