To mark World Health Day (April 7th) and World Malaria Day (April 25th) earlier this year, the Irish aid agency GOAL developed Mosquito Bites, a resource for primary schools to help pupils learn about malaria. The resource is closely linked to the SESE Geography curriculum and gives information about malaria, how it affects people, how it can be prevented, case studies and lesson plans. It is also a great resource for exploring development issues with your class.
This and other classroom resources are also available to download on the Education page of GOAL’s website HERE Many thanks to GOAL’s Development Education Co-ordinator for permission to make this resource available on Seomra Ranga. GOAL retains the copyright © for this resource.
