This resource is aimed at junior/middle pupils or SEN pupils at the beginning of work on money. It is based on the addition of two coins up to 10c. Pupils should be able to recognise coins before doing this exercise. Laminate all of the pages in the resource and cut up into six separate cards. Pupils should add the two coins on the left side of each card and place a peg on the correct answer on the right side of the card.
This activity is especially suitable for pupils who may not be able to write answers but can count money. It is a way for them to demonstrate their understanding of the concept of money. It is also good for fine motor skills in the manipulation of the pegs onto the cards.
