Peg Phonics 02

by admin on 04/04/2014

Peg Phonics 02This resource is aimed at infant or SEN pupils at the beginning of work on phonics. It is based on CVC words with -at, -et, -it, -ot and -ut endings. Laminate all of the pages in the resource and cut up into 22 separate cards. Pupils should identify the object on the left side of each card and place a peg on the matching word on the right side of the card.

This is a way for pupils to demonstrate their early phonological awareness. It is also good for fine motor skills in the manipulation of the pegs onto the cards.

Great idea! I’m going to use these and create some of my own. Much appreciated.
