This resource is aimed at infant or SEN pupils at the beginning of work on numeracy. It is based on number bonds up to 10 with a cat theme. Laminate all of the pages in the resource and cut up into 11 separate cards. Pupils should look at the number on the cat on the left side of each card, decide what number must be added to it to make 10 and place a peg on the correct answer on the right side of the card.
This activity is especially suitable for pupils who may not be able to write numbers but can count. It is a way for them to demonstrate their understanding of number bonds. It is also good for fine motor skills in the manipulation of the pegs onto the cards.
