Book Review: Milo and One Dead Angry Druid

by admin on 25/09/2013

miloThe book we are reviewing is the first in the series called The Milo Adventures. Its title is “Milo and One Dead Angry Druid”. It is written and illustrated by Mary Arrigan. This book is about a druid, an ancient stone and two best friends. When Shane, (Milo’s best friend) discovers an ancient stone in his back garden, he doesn’t realise the consequences that will ensue. Thus begins an epic adventure.

Milo and a ghost become embroiled in risky adventures whilst endeavouring to save the lives of Shane and his gran (Big Ella). The storyline was captivating throughout the book with some eerie chapters that left us with goosebumps. However, there were also some comical aspects involving a duo named Crunch and Wedge. We thoroughly enjoyed the novel. It was unpredictable and kept us enthralled. We look forward to reading the next book in the series.
